Al Masaar is a grass roots, charitable organisation, founded in Falkirk for the Forth Valley Region. It brings together ethnic minority families living in Falkirk and surrounding areas to reduce social isolation, improve community cohesion, enhance education and improve employability, health and wellbeing. We have delivered educational and interfaith events which foster harmony and community integration. Our work includes anti-racism lobbying and partnerships, autism support, singles mothers’ support, including domestic violence survivors, Parent Club for ethnic minority mothers (previously Wee Steps) and a Youth Club (previously AFC)
We are looking for an experienced leader to manage Al Masaar, who will work closely with Board Members, service users and partnership organisations. You will be an excellent communicator with skills in raising organisational profile, have experience in strategic planning, staff management, securing funding and fundraising organisation, and the ability to turn vision into action.
Furthermore, you will have a robust understanding of equality matters, be aware and have the ability to work collaboratively with partners.
Because the organisation is small but growing, the management post is sized at 0.4 FTE. This post is fixed term until August 2022.
